Enyimba FC secured a vital 1-0 victory over El-Kanemi Warriors on Matchday 28 of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), thanks to Joseph Atule’s first-half strike.
Atule’s 28th-minute goal proved to be the difference, giving the People’s Elephant all three points and moving them ahead of El-Kanemi Warriors on the league table.
Coach Aliyu Zubairu’s side traveled to Aba hoping for a win or at least a draw, but Atule’s decisive finish unsettled the visitors early on, setting the tone for a closely contested match.
With this victory, Enyimba now sits 8th on the NPFL table with 41 points, while El-Kanemi Warriors drop to 10th with 40 points.
For his outstanding performance, Joseph Atule was named Man of the Match, receiving a ₦150,000 cash prize as his reward.
