The G.M/CEO of the reigning NPFL champions, Rangers International F.C, Amobi Ezeaku Esq., has been nominated for the prestigious annual Sportsville Special Recognition Award for The-Administrator-of-The-Year that is scheduled to hold later this year.
The young club boss, Amobi, said his best was yet to come as he said that his nomination as Football Administrator of the year means so much to him.
“This is a huge honor for me, he said, when he was informed of his nomination. “I thank the organizers of the award for finding me worthy of this prestigious award. Thank you very much Sportsville.
“One thing I want to promise my people is that my best is yet to come. Rebuilding Rangers is a work in progress and we are determined to do much more in the coming seasons.”
Reacting to the nomination, the Chairman of AFIA TV based in Enugu, Mr. Emeka Mba, eulogized the organizers of the annual Sportsville Special Recognition for nominating Amobi Ezeaku as the Football Administrator of the Year.
According to Mba, Mr. Amobi is a big asset to the football community not only in Nigeria but in Africa.
“The young man is a big asset as far as football administration is concerned. Look at what he is doing with Rangers Football Club; look at how he has transformed the fortune of the club within a short time.
“And I must also give kudos to Sportsville for recognizing his works and appreciating him accordingly.
“It has always been my belief that those doing well in their areas of endeavors should be appreciated to serve as motivation to do more.
“This is what your organization is doing, this is highly recommendable,” the one time Director General of the National Broadcasting Commission said.
Also, reacting, Ambrose Igbokwe, an Enugu based Media Consultant and big fan of Enugu Rangers, said the people of Enugu are so happy with Amobi’s work in Rangers. “We hold him in high esteem here because we have all seen the great progress the club has been making since he took over,” said Ambrose, who has been following Rangers all his life. Rangers International Football Club’s progress has been phenomenal since Amobi took over as the General Manager in the last nineteen months.
