Thirty-five players successfully took part in the U17 (Boys and Girls) South-South Beach Volleyball Training Camp, organized by the Nigeria Volleyball Federation in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
Chairman of the Bayelsa State Volleyball Association, Honourable Famous Daunemigha, commended the President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation, Engineer Musa Nimrod, for initiating the program, emphasizing its role in developing and discovering beach volleyball talents in the region.
Daunemigha also appreciated the Bayelsa State Commissioner for Sports Development, Hon. Daniel Igali, and Mr. Ama-Ebi Ebikpolade for their support in making the camp a memorable experience for the selected players.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Nigeria Park Volleyball Commission, Major General Taritimiye Gagariga, reaffirmed the Federation’s commitment to grassroots volleyball development, ensuring that initiatives like this will be sustained.
He also praised resource coaches Kayode Ajilore and John Iwerima (both National Beach Volleyball Coaches) for their outstanding efforts in training the young athletes.
Bayelsa State Beach Volleyball coach Ruth Opuene, along with Coach Jeffrey (VHC) and Coach Roger, played key roles in ensuring the success of the training camp from start to finish.
