Ekiti-born versatile midfielder, Aladedahunsi Mercy, has expressed confidence in her team’s readiness for the maiden edition of the Bet9ja Foundation U-20 Women’s Football Competition as they prepare to face EKSU Lionesses on Sunday, March 23, 2025.
Speaking with Ijoba Sports News, the energetic Golden Queens FC player emphasized their determination to secure victory.
“This is another opportunity for us to showcase our abilities at Golden Queens FC. Our opponents are no pushovers, so we will approach the match with a winning mentality and aim to get the job done,” she stated.
Aladedahunsi, who hails from Ado Ekiti, acknowledged the challenge ahead as she prepares to face her school team, EKSU Lionesses.
“It will be a special moment for me to play against my school team, but I will give my all to ensure my beloved club, Golden Queens FC, emerges victorious.”
The Ekiti State University student also urged her teammates to deliver an outstanding performance against the Lionesses.
The Ijero Township Stadium, Ijero Ekiti, is set to come alive for the second game of the competition as Golden Queens FC battles EKSU Lionesses at 2 PM.
